Reflection – Assembly this week

This week, we invited Terry (and Charlie) in to talk to the children. As you will be aware, Terry has been coming in to speak to the children for the past 10 years. Terry always gives the children an update on his work with the Guide Dogs and where he and Charlie had visited recently. Recently, they visited different football grounds and supporting them to ensure that visually impaired people can access different parts of the ground safely. They also have been working on full-scale models of new trains to see if they are disability friendly. Terry also told us that he wasn’t able to ride on the bus before coming in to school as there was no space and he isn’t allowed to stand. The children were quite shocked that no one gave up their seat for them. This reinforces why we invite Terry in so that our children know how to treat visually impaired people in the
